Triumph Demo Rides At Erico Motorsports
Last weekend I went on a couple Triumph demo rides at Erico Motorsports in Denver.
They had four different bikes to ride although I only had time to ride two of them. The dealership is in a very urban part of Denver and the demo ride itself was kind of hairy–Lots of dodging cars and navigating through traffic. But, all in all it was a fun time.
The first bike I rode was a 2023 Triumph Tiger 850:
This is pretty similar to the Tiger 900 which I rode last summer at the Overlander Expo and once again I was a bit underwhelmed. The engine didn’t seem to have a whole lot of character to me and the 850 has even less frills than the 900 so I wasn’t too impressed. I will say that it rode over all the cracks and bumps in the rode (of which there were a lot!) super smoothly–I didn’t even feel them!
The next bike I rode was a 2023 Triumph Trident 660. I rode one of these at the Overlander Expo as well and I loved it. This time was no exception as I loved it again. It’s such a fun bike to ride, quick, small, easy to lean through turns, loads of character. The only downside was that I definitely felt all the bumps and cracks in the road on this bike and it was quite uncomfortable all the bouncing at times!
The other two bikes they had were a Tiger 1200 GT Explorer and a Scrambler XC 900. Big thanks to Erico Motorsports for hosting the rides.
